State Registered Apprenticeship Program

State Registered Apprenticeship Program

More than most, we understand that the labor pool for skilled and hardworking craftsmen is stretched to put it lightly. Rather be subject to “the market”, we see this as an opportunity to lead the industry and help shape tomorrow’s leaders in the field. Our response to the manpower shortage is our Apprenticeship Program for those newer to construction. We hire those who are motivated to learn and grow and raise them through our Apprenticeship Program. Working alongside our most talented veterans, Ocean Drywall Apprentices will gain crucial knowledge through exposure to a series of projects on which they will learn from the most basic mechanic skills, to lay out, to schedule coordination, to how to be a job site leader.

For those with considerable field experience, we offer training to help shape individuals into more well-rounded professionals. Ocean Drywall is proud to offer a number of services and as such, we have the ability to cross-train employees so that they can be skilled in multiple fields. In addition to learning more scopes, we also offer training to help sharpen skills such as field reporting and plan reading. If an employee finds a class externally that they believe would benefit themselves as well as the company, they are encouraged to put together a proposal for why Ocean ought to help them pursue that endeavor.
